This is Stoel talking about orthographic views at the beginning of class on Thursday the 29th (Nov.) this is also the first drawing in which I was able to move my pinkie (due to the stitches in it) since before Thanksgiving.
a little shout out to John Stevens, this kid is nasty at the Guitar... (I think you are supposed to be playing a G? I am not sure, your hands moved quite a bit, i kind of drew what i saw, when i saw it)
As I was sitting listening to a little Dylan, I realized that an amazing drawing of the album cover was on http://www.wagonized.typepad.com/. I was therefore inspired to give it a shot and experiment with shading with pen (I am still pretty uncomfortable with the idea). I wanted to try and shade with pen on a smaller scale to see if it worked any better than it has with other drawings. I actually liked how it turned out more than my other shading exercises even though it was small and quick.
At first I did not like this drawing very much. Now that I have come back to it, I like it more and more. It is a little more interesting than my other cube drawings because I decided to bring in a few elements of the surroundings to give the cubes some scale. This is probably my favorite out of the shading exercises so far.
